A tale as old as time. The apps as the youths are calling them these days. All it took was one emoji and the rest was history. As to which emoji that was, we’ll let you use your imagination ;)

Things escalated quickly when after only a month of knowing one another, Tyler found herself in the trunk of Brendan’s car being smuggled onto SUNY Maritime’s campus in the Bronx. She’s just as committed now as she was then!

We took the next several years settling into our careers, in which we found ourselves living in different cities and states all around the country (shoutout FL, we miss you), and in Brendan’s case all around the globe. Years of waking up early and staying up late just to catch each other on the phone for a few minutes, long flights and road trips just to spend as little as 24 hours together. Through it all, the unwavering commitment we shared during the long-distance years only proved what we already knew—that no matter how many miles were between us, we were always heading toward the same destination.

While the long distance hasn’t changed, our transient nature has. We finally anchored down and settled in Charleston, South Carolina, ready for our next and favorite adventure yet.
